Founded in 1986, EVYMS is part of the Yamaha Music Education System, operating in 41 countries with over 6 million graduates of the complete Yamaha course. We believe that all children have an innate ability to learn, enjoy, and express themselves with music. All Yamaha courses are age-appropriate and continually updated for the very best musical experience. We are so proud to have offered piano lessons in our community for the past 34 years! Music Wonderland, Ages 2-3
This Yamaha Course develops your child's musical sensitivity and imagination through singing, storytelling, solfege, listening, keyboard, and rhythm. These activities are designed to create a special time for parent and child to enjoy the magical world of music together. Class schedule: One 30-minute class per week Parent participation: Required
Junior Music Course, Ages 4-5
Because the human ear is at its best age at four, this course captures the right time of a child's life for music study. Through hearing, singing, playing, and creating, your child will develop musical sensitivity and enjoyment.? Class schedule: One 50-minute class per week Parent participation: Required
Young Musician Course, Ages 6-9
The older beginner is highly motivated by the group setting, upbeat materials, and keyboards. Activities will include ear training, singing, repertoire, ensemble playing, keyboard harmony, sight reading, and theory. About this Course: Class schedule: One 50-minute class per week Parent participation: Encouraged
Advanced Study
Service Four: Advanced Study Description: After completing our series of beginner courses, students are ready for advanced study. These courses are designed to customize learning for each student, resulting in a deep knowledge of and appreciation for music. Advanced students will often compose and perform their own work and enter into competitions. Our unique advanced courses include: Private and group study Piano technique and performance Sight reading and playing Music dictation and notation Improvisation Composition Arranging Ensemble performance Concerts and festivals
