Business Services:

Mental health therapy
Mental health therapy can assist a person struggling with symptoms of mental health such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, eating disorders, etc. Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy, is a type of mental health treatment. It’s often used either alone or with medications to treat mental disorders. During a psychotherapy session, you talk to a licensed mental health care professional to identify and change troubling thoughts. The mental health therapist can assist a person in coping with the symptoms related to mental health conditions. A licensed therapist can make a referral to a psychiatrist for medication monitoring if needed to complete the therapeutic process.
Substance Abuse Counseling
Substance abuse counseling is a combination of treatment and support to help people break free from drug or alcohol addiction. This specific type of therapy is often a key part of rehabilitation programs so clients can overcome substance dependence mentally and emotionally. Clients will work with a licensed addiction counselor or substance abuse counselor in a clinical setting to address issues like mental health, behavior patterns and treatment options. Substance abuse counseling may involve: Talk therapy sessions Discussing the causes of addiction Positive coping strategies Developing treatment goals and plans Practicing skills and behaviors necessary for recovery Recommendations for 12-step programs or groups
Dual Diagnosis treatment: Addiction and Mental Health
Mental health and substance use disorders affect people from all walks of life and all age groups. These illnesses are common, recurrent, and often serious, but they are treatable and many people do recover. Mental disorders involve changes in thinking, mood, and/or behavior. These disorders can affect how we relate to others and make choices. Reaching a level that can be formally diagnosed often depends on a reduction in a person’s ability to function as a result of the disorder. For example: *Serious mental illness is defined by someone over 18 having (within the past year) a diagnosable mental, behavior, or emotional disorder that causes serious functional impairment that substantially interferes with or limits one or more major life activities. *For people under the age of 18, the term “Serious Emotional Disturbance” refers to a diagnosable mental, behavioral, or emotional disorder in the past year, which resulted in functional impairment that substantially interferes with or limits the child’s role or functioning in family, school, or community activities. *Substance use disorders occur when the recurrent use of alcohol and/or drugs causes clinically significant impairment, including health problems, disability, and failure to meet major responsibilities at work, school, or home. The coexistence of both a mental health and a substance use disorder is referred to as co-occurring disorders.
DUI services
Gratitude Adjustment is an AODE facility that provides DUI assessments, education, and treatment.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a form of substance abuse rehabilitation in which people visit a treatment center several days a week for a few hours at a time. An IOP is more time-intensive than most standard outpatient programs. However, unlike an inpatient program, it does not require participants to live at the facility. Intensive outpatient programs at Gratitude Adjustment is 9 hours per week. Our sessions meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6-9pm. Random drug screens are administered throughout the program. IOP at Gratitude Adjustment primarily consist of group therapy, but may offer other services such as individual counseling and employment assistance.
