German food is the primary focus, with the best Wiener Schnitzel of any Rhode Island restaurant. Wonderful German beer and Belgian beer also grace our authentic porcelain beer towers. For those who are not looking for a German dinning experience we also feature several Italian and French dishes and even a Portuguese little neck appetizer since we are in Bristol. For New Englanders our fish is fresh and local. So you can enjoy fresh fried sole, instead of frozen fish and chips. Overlooking the water front at Independence park, and in the heart of downtown Bristol, Rhode Island, Redlefsen's is comfortably elegant. Whether you sit in our dining room, the lounge, or the function room, hand-painted murals of Bavarian villages and the whimsy of the Cuckoo Clock by the fireplace enhance a wonderful dining experience. The wooden ceilings are draped with tiny clear lights which are reflected in the large picture windows overlooking Bristol harbor. The finishing touches are the stained glass windows in the lounge and the grape festooned skylight in the dining room. In the summer time there are twenty seats on our patio. Its the perfect venue for watching the Fourth of July summer concert series or on other days it is a nice spot to watch the boats bob in the bay. The function room was completed in the Spring of 2010, and is as warm and attractive as the rest of the restaurant. It is an ideal location for a rehearsal dinner, shower, birthday or office party. We can offer parties choices from both our regular menu and our special banquet room menu. Redlefsens is most famous for our Oktoberfest celebrations. Traditionally we begin the last Wednesday and Thursday in September and extend the celebration every Wednesday and Thursday through the end of Oktober.
